NJMS MD-PhD Program

Our Mission

The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) MD-PhD program is committed to train students to develop the skills and knowledge to conduct investigative work that translates research discoveries to the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of human diseases. The co-directors of the NJMS MD-PhD Program work closely with all students and they strive to ensure that the students obtain optimal training and mentoring. Students are provided an enriched environment that facilitates the success of their investigative work. This will translate to their development into independent physician-scientist investigators who will play leadership roles in the advancement of biomedical research to improve human health.
