Thursday Lunch Meetings

This is an MD-PhD Program-specific activity which was started in 2022. These lunch meetings are attended by our students and Program Directors and take place on the last Thursday of each calendar month. This lunch provides a venue for interaction among students and communication between students and the Program Directors. During these meetings, invaluable feedback provided by the students can be expressed that can lead to improvement of the Program. The lunch meetings are used for specific presentation which topics are relevant to important steps taken by all students during their MD-PhD training, such as the development of a longitudinal clinical experience, the process of residency application, etc. These lunches are also used as a means to decompress and celebrate holidays!

Summer Welcome Picnic

Every summer, before classes begin, we host a summer welcome picnic so that the new MD-PhD Students can get to know others in the program. The picnic is a great time to decompress, relax, enjoy the local parks and play some outdoor games. We've been to Eagle Rock (shown below) and Branch Brook Parks (where the cherry blossom festival is held).

Retreat
