2023-2024 Internal Medicine Residency Program Information

Dear Candidate,

Thank you for your interest in the Internal Medicine residency program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
We are looking forward to meeting you on your interview day!

To make sure that the virtual interview process affords you a similar experience to a live interview day, we prepared a number of materials for you to review before your interview day:

• detailed review of our program’s special tracks (urban health, clinician educator, HIV primary care, combined internal medicine-preventive medicine)


• tours of our 3 training sites 


• sample of didactics (Clinical Pathological Conference, Grand Rounds)


• activities recommended by residents to do outside work

The interview half-day will span from 7:30 to 11:00 am. It will begin with my program overview presentation and Q&A, followed by two 30 minute interviews, one with a faculty member and one with a chief resident. You will also meet with me individually for a few minutes between your interviews. In addition, residents will be present in the Zoom lobby throughout the morning to relay their perspective on residency at NJMS.
