The Application Process
The application requirements for the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Fellowship in Addiction Medicine are the following:
1. Completion of residency training in any medical field accredited by the United States Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
2. Buprenorphine Certification (to be completed by the start of fellowship)
3. Curriculum Vitae
4. Personal Statement outlining the applicant's interest in Addiction Medicine (500-1,000 words).
5. Three letters of recommendation (1 from the program director if within 5 years of residency); letters should be from physicians who have worked directly with the applicant and who are not personal friends.
